This is the time of year when I really begin to think about how I'll preserve these summer flavors and favorites for the cold, dark days of Winter. Generally, I keep things simple--making strawberry and peach jam, and stewing and freezing all the tomatoes that don't get eaten right away. But someday when time allows, I hope my repertoire of canning and preserving grows. There are so many wonderful ways to enjoy summer's bounty year round.
